Rock Band Tournament Winners

Whether it was the beautiful weather or the Huskers spring game that kept people away, I can't be certain but we only had two contestants for our Rock Band Tournament on Saturday.

We decided to change up the rules a little to keep Gunther and Pat and their band "Tenacious D" in play.

Picturing America - March Winner



This month, we had some great responses to two great works of art - Dorthea Lange's "Migrant Mother" photograph and Thomas Hart Benton's "The Sources of Country Music" painting.

Get Ready To Make Some Noise!

In celebration of National Library Week, we'll be hosting a Teen Wii Rock Band Tournament on Saturday, April 17 from 2 - 4:30 in the Meeting Room.

7th - 12th graders, come with some band members, or we'll form bands that day with those that attend.

Door prizes include AMC movie tickets, Twilight Saga books and other YA books!

Postponed - January Teen Event Rescheduled Potluck and Gift Exchange

January February Teen Event - Holiday Potluck and Gift Exchange

If you're the kind of person that just can't get enough holiday parties, you're in luck!

The Baright Library and the Ralston High School Media Center will be hosting one more holiday party for you in January February - so now the holiday season can last even longer!

On Jan. 8 (rescheduled to due weather) Feb. 12 we'll have an event up at the Ralston High School after school from 3:30-5 p.m..

Enter our Picturing America program for a chance to win monthly prizes!



This year, our library was awarded a grant through the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) called "Picturing America." Through this grant, the library received 20 two-sided posters of American artwork that the NEH felt captures our nation's heritage. About every two weeks, a new poster is put on display and we'll be continuing to display them through Spring of next year.
